Trip at a glance
EXPLORE is our motto and we want to help kids see how incredible rivers and fish are. Our half-day camps take kids (ages 6-12) out to help them learn about the river corridor and then have a go at the basics of fly-fishing.
Dates / Rates
Summer 2023
Tuesdays and Thursdays, Starting June 27th. 8:30am to 12:30pm.
$150 per child for the four hour session.
Each session has one guide and one junior guide per 4-6 kid group.

8am:
Meet at the yurt at Sun Valley Outfitters in downtown Ketchum.
At the yurt kids are checked in, everyone is introduced, geared up as appropriate and told what to expect in the morning. When everyone is ready to go we load up in the van and head to the river.
8:30am:
After arriving at the river the kids spend some time going over basic river safety and etiquette before learning about our local fish and a hands on lesson of entomology. This session ends with a really fun scavenger hunt.
10am:
In the morning session kids are going to build up a hunger so mid-morning the group will take a snack break to make sure our little explorers have the fuel to finish the morning going strong.
10:30am:
Basic casting lessons lead to time at the river doing some fishing.
12:15PM:
Back to the yurt to meet up with parents.
